Synopsis
An interesting story which reveals the master of New York Society to be Hampton Jitney. Jitney has escaped his doom in The Well of Jaguars (Claverack Hillsdale and the Heretic) and has emigrated to America. Sitting on the boards of several corporations, Jitney uses his influence and power to exact revenge on his arch enemy Hillsdale. The demonologist must escape the forces of police, union busters, and mobsters to survive the coordinated attack of the master of evil. Once he finds out who is responsible, the stage is set for a battle between wizards, against the canvas of turn of the century New York City.
